According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Elon University is offering a way to help those people out by hosting a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16 in McKinnon Hall. The drive is facilitated by the local Red Cross chapter.
“We need your help with donations, and there are plenty of available times to fit your schedule,” said Mary Morrison, Asst. Dean and Director of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement. “The easiest way to sogn up for an appointment to donate is through the Red Cross website: http://www.redcrossblood.org/carolinas. “
Once on the website, navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on “Make A Blood Donation Appointment” and enter the sponsor code “Elon.” This will allow you to select a time to give blood in the Mosely Center.
If you want more information about the drive, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
